Description

A Study in Scarlet was first of the four novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The novel begins in 1881 with Dr. John Watson the narrator setting in London with a detective friend Sherlock Holmes. Soon Sherlock Holmes is asked by Scotland Yard detective Gregson to assist him in solving a crime. Dr Watson and Holmes visit an empty house in a London Neighborhood. A man named Enoch Drabber from Cleveland has been murdered! Upon close observation they find cab prints in the street, foor prints in the yard, a dead man who has been poisoned but not robbed and the word RACHE Written in blood on the wall.
